Yeasayer have confirmed that they will be releasing the first new material from their highly anticipated follow-up album, Odd Blood.

Having already previewed Ambling Alp on their recent UK dates with Bat For Lashes, this is their first new recording since Tightrope appeared on the Dark Was The Night benefit comp earlier this year. It is available for free download via the band’s website - www.yeasayer.net - now.

Recorded & produced by the band - along with engineer Steve Revitte and mixer Britt Myers – Ambling Alp shows the band’s advancement in both songwriting and studio sonics, and is nothing short of a pop anthem!

The single will be released digitally and on limited edition vinyl in rather special packaging in January 2010.

Yeasayer will be playing Ambling Alp amongst other brand new tracks from ODD BLOOD on their upcoming appearances at Fun Fun Fun Fest as well as a small handful of US dates before going underground until the album’s release in 2010.
