Detroit Social Club

Prophecy

Release date: 24th May 2010

Label: Fiction Records

Detroit Social Club will pave the way for summer solstice with the release of their magnificent new single ‘Prophecy’, an anthemic musical exorcism of northern blues rock‘n’soul, out on May 24th through Fiction Records. This will come a week before they drop their much anticipated debut album entitled ‘Existence’.

The single will be available as a digital download and 7” vinyl. The 7” version will feature a reworking of traditional folk song ‘God’ll Cut You Down’ (made famous by Johnny Cash) as a b-side.

Detroit Social Club will also spend just over a week out on the road in the run-up to release, headlining Q magazine’s first ever New To Q Tour. The band, who opened at Oasis’ last ever show and also supported Primal Scream last year, are fresh from their own recent dates in February that included a blistering performance at London’s Cargo (NME Awards Show) to rave reviews. DSC, who were featured as a New To Q band themselves earlier this year, will lead the tour through Scotland, The North, The Midlands and finishing in London at Relentless Garage on May 18th.
