Additionally, the band is putting the finishing touches on a brand new acoustic album which they aim to release later this year. Singer, Jack Steadman’s love of Appalachian music coupled with the folk heritage of guitarist Jaimie MacColl (son of Neill and grandson of Ewan) has given these new tracks a distinct acoustic feel, as heard on the band’s recent cover of Loudon Wainwright III’s ‘Motel Blues’.

Bombay Bicycle Club released their critically acclaimed debut album ‘I Had The Blues But I Shook Them Loose’ last summer, played a string of stand out festival performances including a spellbinding set at Glastonbury and supported the Pixies at Brixton Academy. With a rapidly growing fanbase, 2010 will see the band soaring to dizzying new heights.
